When deciding whether I can take on a project, I find it extremely helpful to see a sample—or even the full manuscript—so you are more than welcome to include it with your inquiry. When submitting, please include any deadlines you may have, and I’ll get back to you shortly.

To request free sample proofreading, submit your manuscript (preferably in Word format) as an email attachment and write “Free Sample Proofreading” in the subject line. I’ll respond within four business days. I typically proof up to about 1,000 words so you can get a sense of my work.
Note: I now focus mainly on proofreading fiction and rarely accept nonfiction manuscripts. Thank you for understanding.
Thinking ahead?
My schedule fills quickly, so it’s best to reserve your spot early. Email me with the month you think you’ll need proofreading, and if you have any deadlines, include those too. I understand the fluctuations of writers’ schedules, so I don’t charge a fee for reserving or canceling spots.
No matter how far ahead you’re planning, I’m happy to do my best to accommodate your project!
